Co-Owner’s Words
Partner and Managing Director, Karin Zurcher was born and raised in Costa Rica. Her extensive travels through Costa Rica instilled a genuine appreciation for its marvelous beaches, mountains, and landscapes. After earning a degree in Political Science from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, she founded one of Costa Rica’s first on-line travel agencies. Following her hotelier father’s footsteps, she conceived El Silencio Lodge & Spa as a novel concept for Costa Rica’s tourism offerings. Karin is an avid runner and a wellness enthusiast.
